The CNC machining assures accuracy, while the billet material provides extra strength and dimensional stability over a wide temperature range. The nature of billet aluminum makes it a perfect choice for an application such as this where oil leaks cannot be tolerated. Unlike cast aluminum, billet has none of the internal voids or impurities which are inherent in a casting. Billet is not subject to residual internal stresses caused by thermal contraction of the metal as a casting cools. Fits stock and S&S Twin Cam style crankcases.
